Getting somewhere

On a raining day, I decided to work on my values and color relativity digitally. I think I may have actually figured something out with organizing my values, and comparing color relatively. I also bought a plein air umbrella, which will keep the direct sun off my canvas while painting- which I know should, at least, keep my values from staying in the lower range; as far as I can tell- the direct sunlight affects how you see your values because it over-exposes everything on your canvas and palette.

I draw detailed pet portraits and quick sketches from photos in various sizes, in charcoal. I also draw personalized commissions, paint in oil, water color and gouache. Check out the rest of my website to request a commission and see other original work.
